Vietnamese director Tran Anh Hung’s debut feature “The Scent of Green Papaya” signaled his delight in telling stories

about the intertwining of food and sensuality. “The Taste of Things” stars Juliette Binoche in the tale of the romance between a cook and her boss that develops over 20 years, and the dishes they create that impress even the world's most illustrious chefs. All films will be screened at Dare Arts in Manteo, unless otherwise specified. Doors will open at 6pm and films will start at 6:30pm. Discussion follows the screening. Seating is first come, first serve. The venue is accessible and has an elevator. Outer Banks Film Society Memberships are not refundable and are only available to adults 18 and up.

The Outer Banks Film Society was created to foster a community that appreciates the art of film. Unlike purchasing a ticket to go see a movie at the local theater, you join the Outer Banks Film Society through an annual or seasonal membership.
