Award-winning photographers Shirley Whitenack and Richard St. Peter will be leading a three-day workshop, titled Digital Photography 102: Finding Your Focus, at Dare Arts March 27-29, 2025.

This class is designed to be an immersive experience encouraging you to hone your photo skills while

trying new techniques. Shirley and Richard will teach you to take control of your camera to learn the amazing images your camera will reveal. Participants should have a comfortable working knowledge of their cameras. Compositional techniques to include utilizing directional light, point of focus, identifying power points, and depth of field (blurred, soft background vs. detailed, sharp background) will be taught. There will also be time devoted to intentional camera movement (ICM) and long-exposure techniques. This is your opportunity to learn how to fully utilize manual mode. On Saturday afternoon, your select images will be projected to be enjoyed by your fellow photographers.
