Dare County Arts Council is actively looking for community members who would like to get in involved. Whether you are a seasoned professional, newly retired or newcomer, we need your skills in support of your Arts Council. The most often needed position for DCAC is Gallery Volunteers.
What things do Gallery Volunteers do? Greet customers and complete sales transactions, make phone calls and copies, assist with mailings, data entry, update information on the computer and other projects. Basic computer skills are needed.
How much time do I need to spend? If you have an hour or an afternoon, we can accommodate you. The Gallery is open Monday - Friday 10:00am to 5:00pm and Saturdays from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Volunteers are needed every day of the week and generally work 3.5 - 4 hour shifts.
DCAC programs and events are all staffed by volunteers who want to keep the arts alive in this community. There are many, many opportunities to get involved, work hard and have fun.
If you are interested in volunteering, you may want to consider serving on any of the committees listed below. As you can see, there are lots of ways to help!
