Dare County Arts Council Gallery

Dare County Arts Council operates a fine arts and craft gallery for our artist/members. The gallery is located on the first floor of the historic 1904 Dare County Courthouse, located at 300 Queen Elizabeth Avenue in downtown Manteo, NC. We offer works for show and sell in painting, pottery, jewelry design, wood design, printmaking, fiber arts, glass and mixed media by both emerging and established artists. There is also a fine selection of collectible prints and cards.

Each month we feature at least one new exhibit, with an opening reception held each First Friday from 6pm - 8pm. Our reception are always a lively event with live music, light fare and libations. Additionally, every second Wednesday the gallery is rearranged to accommodate new art. This makes for a fresh viewing experience and encourages visitors to come back often.

The Dare County Arts Council Gallery is operated entirely by our extraordinary volunteers and managed by a gallery director. You can visit the gallery Monday through Friday, 10am - 5pm and on Saturdays from 12pm - 4pm. We are closed on Sundays.

If you are interested in displaying your work with the DCAC Gallery, please see our gallery guidelines on this website or contact the gallery manager.

Stop in often and support local artists!
