For over 35 years, the Dare County Arts Council has been fulfilling a vital mission to encourage the Arts in Dare County through Advocacy, Enrichment and Opportunity. The DCAC strongly believes that the Arts are essential to the creation and sustenance of a thriving, vital community. Each year thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds participate in DCAC sponsored Arts programs as performers, artists, audience members, students, visitors, and volunteers. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

With your help, the Dare County Arts Council is able to provide: A gallery for established and emerging artists, Promotion of Arts in Education throughout Dare County Schools and the community, annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors, connecting arts opportunities to individual artists and organizations, funding to community organizations and schools through the North Carolina Arts Council's Grass Roots Grant Program, ongoing classes and workshops in a variety of media and disciplines for all ages.
