Mary Roberts

I met Mary late in the Legacy Project program, and was immediately captivated by her vibrancy and joy. Mary was truly a delight to work with, and she knew exactly the image she wanted to leave for her family. It was taken from a photograph by a friend, where Mary was walking in the surf and laughing. She said he snapped the photo just as a wave was breaking unexpectedly against the back of her legs, and her expression is one of simple happiness. In my short time knowing Mary, this is how I thought of her, and this was a very easy painting for me to create. I do hope she and her family enjoy it.
